About us

Who-was-that.net is a simple to use online tool developed to help people quickly identify unknown callers. The platform is written in clear, concise language in order to be accessible for anyone, including the most vulnerable. In response to the extraordinary amount of scam calls made on a yearly basis, often targeting uniquely vulnerable individuals, Who Was That was created to give people an extra tool in the fight against scams.

Who Was That is partnered with a number of investigation firms and can provide introductions to professional support for scam victims. For this, please visit our scam help page. We also maintain a blog to inform the public on matters related to spam calls, scam calls, unknown calls and phone numbers.
